I'll be completely honest I'm at a loss on how to start my review of Gate I started this book and uickly realised it started exactly where Hope had finished So I indulged myself and re read Hope first I'm really glad that I did as I was able to lose myself in the Knights of Av'lor once again I started book 2 without any break and not once did I become fatigued with the world That for me is the sign of an excellent writer the one who can drag me into their world with nary a complaint My heart broke for Kate as she has to deal with her return to Av'lor and those who wish to cause her harm She is also trying to put the torture and hardship she has endured for the past six months approx behind her There are only a handful of people that she can trust but Lan is as always top of the list Earth is in danger though so once again their romance takes a back seat to all the action explosions demons and devils they end up fighting 'The Little White One' still packs a powerful punch and is the perfect counterpart to the tall imposing black knight Gate like Hope ends on helluva cliffhanger I wish I could complain about it but in this instance I can't It perfectly suits the book and leaves me definitely wanting I can't wait to return to Av'lor and catch up with these amazing characters once Maybe when book 3 comes out I'll indulge myself again These books are that goodWith no editing or grammatical issues to disrupt the reading flow full of action and a smooth pace I have no hesitation in recommending this book and The Knights of Av'lor as a series Verified Purchase November 2016 MerissaArchaeolibrarian I Dig Good Books

Gate is the second book in The Knights of Av'lor trilogy by author Sam Rook and it is a perfect continuation of book 1 Hope read our review in every respect This book also ends on a cliff hanger or two and therefore I would suggest it should be read as part of the trilogy as intendedThe narration as before follows various main characters and it is beautifully written in the third person The author has the ability to make you feel for each character and to bring each situation to lifeGate brings us new foes new allies and most of all relentless page turning action We do also find out about the Demon's own world and the characters of Lanclor and Kathryn are developed further There are also advancements in the sub plots which had begun in the first book and which unfold in Av'lor thus setting the scene for the final instalment in the series which promises to be even epicI am absolutely hooked and cannot wait for the next chapter which should be hopefully release some time in 2016ARC received from the Author

This story is about what we as humans would call angels but they call themselves human also because at one time they were just human now they are soldiers fighting to save Av’Lor their home planet and also save earth their original home They are in constant war with Daemon or what we would call Demons The Av’Lor soldiers have wings and some have different levels of powers or magic This story tells a tale of Kathryn the main female soldier amongst them who has suffered for many months at the hands of the Daemon and must now risk everything again to protect everything she knows everything she is or ever was Pretty good read no major religious overtones and plenty of actionThis is the second book in the series but can be read seperately
